Unveiling an Unusual Steam Game Trial: Guiding a Poop in a Mission to Find the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is now live, and gamers have discovered plenty of engaging independent titles. However, one stands out for its offbeat concept. Called Unko Technica, this old-school styled jumping adventure features a hero that is truly a piece of poop striving to make its way to a commode. As a fun fact, "Unko" means "poop."

Player controls is easy to grasp: just use a one button to leap. Throughout 150 levels, encounter boss fights and visit a store to purchase outfits for your dung hero.

Plan your movements precisely, as a wrong move forces starting over. Bounce on floating orbs to launch your character higher, cross crumbling platforms, and touch buttons to unlock secret routes. Collect UN-KOINS to purchase more difficult game content in which the action gets crazy.

Graphically, the game boasts eye-catching stages and an amazing music score. The retro art with shifting geometric shapes may remind fans of beloved games like Earthbound.

While it's difficult to name previous releases where you control a dung character, gaming have long included fecal matter. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, you can craft throwables from protagonist droppings. Games like Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved use manure as plant food. And of course, such content shows up extensively in Obsidian's South Park RPG The Stick of Truth.

Regardless of its goofy idea, Unko Technica has already garnered notable recognition, like being named best at a major publisher's GYAAR Studio in 2023. The demo is ready at present on Steam, with the full game set to arrive on PC this November.
